Year 6 have all been working extremely hard on Viking research. Please take a look at the photos below.
World Book Day
As a part of World Book Day, the author M.T. Sanders visited school to talk to us about his books that feature his Newfoundland dog called Monty. Monty was not only the star of the books, but also a hit with all of our children. On World Book Day, the children dressed up as characters from their favourite books. As you can see, they have all look amazing. Well done Year 6!
PE - Dance
Year 6 have been learning a Hakka dance routine. They all put their heart and soul into their performances and have really enjoyed doing these routines.
SATs Meeting Information
Here is some information to help you make sense of the SATs tests that your children will be sitting in May. If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Circulation
Today, we have been learning about the circulatory system. Have a look at our circulatory creations.
Light
In science, we have been learning about how light rays travel from a source in straight lines, and how they can reflect off a mirror before reaching our eyes to enable us to see the objects behind us.
As part of our Science work on ‘Light’, Year 6 have been using mirrors to try to see a label on their own back. They then drew the journey of the light ray to show how they were able to see the label.

Homework
The children in Year 6 have now been given their school planners. These school planners are designed with the intention of preparing the children for their transition to High School therefore they will be asked to write homework tasks and notes in their planner as the week progresses. The children are responsible for recording these tasks and due dates in their journals. We would greatly appreciate if parents could check journals each week and sign off once their children have completed tasks set. Space is also provided for parents/carers to make comments should they wish to do so. Homework will be given out on Tuesday and should be handed back in by the following Monday at the latest.
